Things to be mindful of:
This is a temporary course that took a lot of volunteer work to make happen. We hope that as disc golfers we can share with the folks at Ski Wentworth just how great this place could be. The best thing we can do to help make a permanent course here would be to keep track of your round on Udisc and leave honest feedback.
We have placed some strategic picnic tables on the course. We hope that players take their time when going up the hill and when going down. We ask that starting on the tee off for hole 16 each group waits for the group that plays directly behind them to start spotting their tee shots. This will help us not lose discs on the hill and eventually make the round go smoother. The process should basically be for each group to throw their tee shot and second shot, mark their discs and turn around to watch the next group's tee shots. We think this will be the best way to spot discs and help not track up and down the hill looking for errant shots.
Remember, any player can choose to abandon and reshoot any shot, including their tee shot. You would add a 1 stroke penalty for every abandoned throw.
There is a brook that runs from hole 8 through to hole 13. On hole 8 OB is the brook and beyond. On all other holes it is just the brook. If you disc is suspended on a rock or a root in the center of the stream it is still considered OB as long as there is water flowing on both sides of the disc.
You should note that the tee pads are almost all gravel and we did our best to make them mostly flat. If you look, many of the tee pads have flat spots that are closer to the middle of the pad and not at the front. For this course there is no back edge of the tee pad, players can tee off from as far back of the whiskers as they wish.
Although walking up the hill can be tiresome, walking down the hill is often harder on your body. We suggest players walk long zig zag lines to help reduce the straight slope down the hill.
We have trophies from the last few event that can be picked up during the players party Saturday night. If you have a trophy or know someone who you can bring their trophy home to them you can pick them up.
Also over the course of the season at many Flickline events discs get lost and turned into our table. Same goes for the trophies, we will have the lost discs on display and any disc that belongs to you please take it home. If you think you found a friends lost disc please confirm with them before taking it home with you as some discs have been donated.
This course is truly an epic experience. Take your time, enjoy the sights and take pictures if you wish. We are so thrilled to share it with you. We hope you love it!
Thank you again for being a part of an incredible season. We couldn’t have done it without you!
