The creation of FlickLine disc golf is the result of 20 years of work and passion in the disc golf industry. FlickLine is primarily run by owner Benjamin Smith, but has formed partnerships with key people from across the world who play advisory roles as consultants on the majority of the company's projects.
Our motto is, "If it's disc golf, we can do it". Philosophically, we believe the game of disc golf should be shared and enjoyed by the widest audience possible. In order to do this, we use environmentally-sound building methods to create disc golf courses that work with nature, not against it. We see a future that includes disc golf in healthy ecosystems and thriving public spaces. We aim to have disc golf included in more schools, more camps, more backyards, and everywhere in between, and we are doing everything in our power to make that happen.
Our services include design work, course building, public, private, and school workshops, and running quality events.
For course building, we have options that run the spectrum from pitch to putt. We can help with large- and small-scale proposals, and can provide local, national, and international data on disc golf participation. With over 25 years in the landscape industry, we can also provide hands-on building services for tree cutting, tee pad installation, general labour, and all kinds of project management. We have formed partnerships with Discmania, DiscGolfPark, and Latitude 64, and can offer baskets at both wholesale and retail prices. We keep a modest stock of discs on hand at all times, and can generally help source anything our clients need in the disc golf world.
During non-pandemic years, we would typically teach the game of disc golf to new players at least a hundred times a year. As restrictions ease, we will once again offer services to fit individual needs.
One of the crown jewels of FlickLine is our season-long tour. In 2021, we have 12 events planned for the "Chain Reaction Disc Golf Tour", including the Canadian National Championship (satellite edition). We also run some smaller local events each year, better suited for beginners or casual competition.
