Current travel restrictions are going to prevent us from all playing on the same course at the same time to start the season. So we are going to focus on the positive and consider ourselves lucky. As it stands right now, we can still play in own province and we are fortunate that we have a strong enough team that we can make FlickLine Tour Stop #1 Presented by Chain Reaction happen in a brand-new form.
Instead of running one main event in Windsor, we will now run individual events in each province that will be considered the first event of our now 11-stop tour. Points will be counted towards the season total in each division. (** The tour event planned for New Minas will only count towards the season total of points if similar events in NB and PEI can be run **). We have also made the decision that it will now be your best 6 finishes that count towards your season total. Each event has a players pack valued at the entrance fee plus trophies for the top 4 finishers in the Amateur divisions. There will be additional prizes for the player who wins their final card.
As a bonus, all three provinces will be competing against each other for the highest rating average for each division. The player with the highest average PDGA round rating from around the Maritimes will win an online gift certificate to Chain Reaction Disc Golf. For the Jr division it will be $20, MA 2 / FA 2 / MA 40 - $30, FA1 - $40, MA1 - $50. There will be a $60 cash bonus for the MP40 and $100 cash bonus for MPO with the highest average for tour stop #1.
Registration for each of these events close on Thursday evening. Caddy books will be emailed to all players late Thursday night. The course will be set up in Windsor by 12 noon Friday and open to practice.
