The leaves are back on the trees, and the 2022 disc golf season is in full swing. We are excited to tell you about our next big event, the CBU FlickLine Tour Stop #2 brought to you by Play It Again Sports St John's.
This is our first ever FlickLine event at the newly created DiscGolfPark course at Cape Breton University (CBU), and we can't wait to share the experience with everyone.
FlickLine Disc Golf and CBU are teaming up to bring you a full weekend of disc golf fun, Cape Breton hospitality, and that little something extra that makes your travel worth it.
Included in the players pack for all players (even pros) is a ticket to our Saturday night players "social" party happening from 7-9 pm at the Pit Lounge on campus. There will be free finger foods, live music, disc golf putting games with prizes, and lots of other free fun games to play on the deck. Beverages, including adult beverages, will be available to purchase. As we are entering a new stage of reduced restrictions, we really hope that people come out to celebrate this weekend and to experience for themselves all the things that make CBU special.
Our tournament team will be on site Friday setting up tournament central with our DiscMania tent and practice area. Chain Reaction Disc Golf will be on site selling discs for the entire weekend, and we will once again have our small but mighty media crew on hand to capture some of the magic.
Parking is located at the back of the MacDonald residence, and the course is listed on UDisc. There will only be one minor change to the layout, as we are making hole #1 an island. A full detailed caddy book will be sent out Tuesday morning.
This event will also be chock full of extra prizes for those who make the trip. Not only are we going to give away some extra discs, we also have custom carved trophies for the winners. It will make winning your division that much better!
All in all, we know we are in for another special event in the Maritime disc golf calendar: now all we need is to see you there!
